08-021The South San Francisco Police Department is asking for your help in identifying the person in this police sketch.

Detective Don Olsen reports that on September 10th, 2007, between 10pm and 11pm the victim’s vehicle was parked at the Pac N Sav parking lot at 2255 Gellert Blvd. At about this time, the suspect in this police sketch and a young Hispanic male accomplice were breaking into a car when the car owner walked up to them. The suspects ran away and the car owner chased them to behind the building and physically fought with the suspect. While he was engaged in the fight, the other suspect sliced the victim’s throat from behind with a knife. The victim sustained serious injury, but is recovering. The suspect was described as having a very short hair (almost shaved) and thinly cropped facial hair. The suspect is described as having a dark colored mark below his right eye and three dark “dots” beside his right eye.
