The Union City Police Department is currently seeking Robert Joaquin Alicante for warrants charging him with resisting or delaying an officer and vehicle theft. Detective Manny Leon reports that Robert Joaquin Alicante was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle through Union City. When police saw the vehicle and attempted to conduct a check of the license plate it accelerated and led Union City Police on a short vehicle pursuit. Officers momentarily lost sight of the vehicle but with the help of witnesses were able to track down and arrest Robert Joaquin Alicante and his accomplices.
