*David and Silvestre Herrera Captured in South Carolina

Fugitive Watch is pleased to announce that brothers David and Silvestre Herrera were captured in Campobello, South Carolina.  On April 10th 2009 the , received information that the fugitives were hiding out and working at an auto repair shop in an unincorporated part of Spartanburg County.  Deputies responded and caught Silvestre as he attempted to drive off in a car and then found David hiding out inside the shop.  Two other suspects, Benito Murillo and German Danilo Lazo-McGarry were arrested on unrelated narcotics for sales charges. The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department was seeking Silvestre and David Herrera on a warrant charging them with Attempted Murder.  Detective Sergeant Dean Baker reports that in January 2003, David allegedly try to kill the victim by shooting him in the face. Silvestre then helped David dump the victim in a ravine near Gilroy.  The victim survived and identified the Herrera brothers. Both suspects are awaiting extradition back to San Jose.
