Hayward “Lavel” Brandon

The Santa Clara Police Department is asking for your help in identifying the person responsible for the murder of Hayward “Lavel” Brandon. Detective Rick Souza reports that on June 10th 2007 Mr. Brandon was shot while sitting in a car. After being shot, he staggered from his car into the McDonalds Restaurant located at 2850 Augustine Drive near Freeway 101. Once inside the restaurant, he collapsed onto the floor and died. Brandon’s car was driven away by the suspected shooter and later abandoned in the North 1st Street area of San Jose. Brandon was found with a large amount of cash on his person and narcotics were found in his car. Police believe that people inside or around the restaurant may have seen the shooter or the shooting and are asking for their assistance in solving this murder.
