The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department is currently seeking Daniel Garciaon a warrant charging him with Murder. Detective Pete Ramos reports that on April 26th 2007 Garcia shot and killed his wife Zeniga Rosales in Prunedaleand then took their 8 and 9 year old children. He is using the alias of Daniel Lombera and has threatened to hurt the children. Police believe he is possibly enroute to Mexico. The Redwood City Police Department is also seeking Garcia on a $100,000 warrant charging him with Burglary, Auto Theft and Evading Police. Detective Hurst reports that on October 8 1993, Garcia was involved in a car chase with Redwood City officers. During the chase, he abandoned his car near Hampton Avenue. He then entered a private garage, stole another car and crashed through the victim’s garage door. He was spotted by officers and another car chase ensued. Garcia again abandoned the car on Oakridge Avenue and broke into another home on Lancaster Way. He alluded capture by hiding out in the attic for 9 hours. He has threaten to die rather than go back to prison and that he hates police and will “Take them out” if he has too. Garcia has also been identified as the man that allegedly shot a victim with a 45 caliber handgun in east San Jose. He uses numerous aliases and and is also being sought on a warrant for Parole Violation. DOB 7/20/66
