The Mountain View Police Department is currently seeking Robert Morgan on a warrant charging him with Grand Theft. Detective Cary Shueh reports that on February 21, 2008 at approximately 2:45pm, Morgan entered the Wal-Mart store located at 600 Showers Drive in Mountain View. Morgan then selected a large, flat screen plasma T.V. and put it into a shopping cart. Morgan, along with two other females then allegedly exited the store without paying for it. Once outside, Morgan was asked by an employee to show a receipt for the TV. Morgan continued walking and said something like “My wife has it”. Neither of the females produced a receipt either and an undercover security officer attempted to detain Morgan. Morgan then discarded the T.V. and fled on foot. Morgan eluded the security officer and could not be located by arriving police officers. The security officer was able to obtain the license plate from the vehicle driven by one of the females as it left the parking lot. Officers located the vehicle, a 1990 Buick LeSabre, license 6CCD777 in the 800 block of South Wolfe Road in Sunnyvale. Officers were able to identify Morgan and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Morgan has a tattoo of the word Peckerwood and an eagle on his right arm.
