The San Jose Police Department is asking for your help in identifying the person in this surveillance video. Detective Christopher Proft reports that on 02/16/08 at approximately 8pm , a Grand Theft/Burglary occurred at the Longs Drug Store, located at 5407 Camden Ave., San Jose. The two suspects entered the business. Suspect #1 removed items from the shelf and placed them into a shopping basket. Later, Suspect #2 walked to the basket and placed the items into his jacket. The suspects left the store at different times. The loss was estimated at thousands of dollars (All high dollar items, Abreva allergy cream, Claritin, Prylosec, Oil of Olay). Suspect #1 is described an Hispanic male, 35-40, 5’8, 190 LBS, wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, and brown shoes. He has short straight hair , mustache and medium build. Suspect #2 is described as an Hispanic male, 25-30, 5’6, 160 LBS, wearing a brown jacket with a red hood, white blue/black stripped T-shirt and black shoes. The suspects were last seen in a black/dark possibly 2005 Toyota truck.

    Christpher proft is on the ball. He was instrimental in bringing a ring of service vehicle bandits to justice, and in recovering identifiable stolen property. He is an asset to the department and above all, to us working common folks in the community. Send him all leads and and he will do his best to help.
