Detective Beilmann of the Morgan Hill Police Department is asking for help in the ID of a rapist. A Morgan Hill woman reported she was raped by an unknown male in the area of Monterey and Old Monterey during the evening hours of April 28.
Morgan Hill Police dispatch received a call on April 28, 2008 at approximately 6:56 p.m. from a woman reporting that she was raped a few moments prior. Morgan Hill police officers arrived on scene and met with the victim who sustained minor injuries in the assault but declined medical attention.
The victim reported to officers that she was walking northbound on the east side of Monterey Road near Old Monterey Road when an unknown male approached her from behind and pushed her on the back causing her to fall down an embankment. The suspect struck the victim with an unknown object, raped her and fled towards Cochrane on foot. The area where the crime occurred was described as dirt, grassy and leafy terrain just northeast of Monterey Road at Old Monterey Road. The victim was able to call 911 from a passerby’s cell phone, who was walking in the area.
The victim did not know the suspect but described him as follows:
White male adult, between 5′9″ to 6′0″ tall, a scruffy beard, short sandy brown hair and a thin face. His eye sockets were recessed and his eyes were either dark blue or green. He wore blue jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head.
