* Man Shot in Drive By Shooting near Kentucky Fried Chicken on Wren Avenue in Gilroy

A 25-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting outside a fast food restaurant in Gilroy Tuesday night, according to police. Officers responded to a report of shots fired near Kentucky Fried Chicken on Wren Avenue at First Street at about 8:30 p.m., according to the Gilroy Police Department. Arriving officers found a victim who had been shot with a large-caliber handgun. Witnesses told police that at least two suspects in a late 1990s brown Honda with chrome rims and tinted windows had driven by and opened fire on the victim, shooting him an undisclosed number of times. The suspected gunman, firing from the passenger side, was described as a Hispanic man around 20 years old with a shaved head, according to police. A description of the driver was not available. Police did not release information on the victim’s condition Tuesday night.
