Fairfield police are searching for three armed suspects that robbed a Mexican restaurant Tuesday night.  Officers responded to La Charrita at 1470 W. Texas St. to a report of an armed robbery at about 9:10 p.m., according to the Fairfield Police Department. Three men with handguns had reportedly entered and kicked down an office door leading to a section of the business that cashes checks, according to police. The suspects emptied the cash drawers and exited through a side door with an undisclosed amount of money. Witnesses told police that the suspects were wearing hoods, baseball caps and bandannas covering their faces. They were seen leaving the area on foot on Second Street, police reported, where another witness said they got into a black Honda and fled in an unknown direction.
