The Oakland Police Department is currently seeking Emmett Harris for Assault with a Deadly Weapon (firearm with great bodily injury), Aggravated Mayhem, and Torture. Harris severely beat, tortured, and shot his girlfriend once in the knee, and once in the thigh area. A $250,00 warrant was issued for the above listed charges, and a no bail warrant for Transportation of Narcotics was also issued. Harris was last known to frequent the 1600 block of 87th Ave. Harris has a prior criminal record and is considered armed and dangerous.
