On June 27, 2016, SJPD responded to a report of a person shot in the 1800 block of Cape Aston Court. An adult male suspect driving a black Lexus pulled in front of the adult male victim’s vehicle, got out and shot and killed the victim.
Police say that Kim is also wanted in connection with an unrelated homicide in Westminster.
According to police, an investigation led to the identification of four suspects in the case: 45-year-old Jorge Fernandez, 30-year-old Janine Marie Cordova, 27-year-old Ruben Larios Lopez and 25-year-old Myung Jin Kim. Warrants were then secured for their arrests.
The primary suspect was identified as Myung Jin Kim.
