Two people died, and two others were injured in an alleged targeted shooting in Hayward Saturday morning.

DOUBLE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
The shooting appears to be a targeted shooting between individuals involved in a dispute.
Hayward, Calif. – The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a double homicide that occurred today around 1:38 a.m. Our Emergency Services Dispatch (ESD) received reports of a shooting with one person down in front of the Hookah Lounge, located at 21272 Mission Bl. in Hayward.
Deputies arrived on the scene around 1:43 a.m. and located an unresponsive individual and multiple shell casings on the ground in front of that location. That individual was pronounced deceased on the scene. ESD also received additional reports from two local hospitals regarding three individuals who arrived at the hospitals with gunshot wounds after they were reportedly shot at the Hookah Lounge. One of those individuals subsequently succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, and two others are receiving treatment for unknown injuries.
We have no reason to believe this is a public safety issue. The shooting appears to be a targeted shootout between individuals involved in some type of dispute. The Crime Lab is processing the scene, and our detectives are actively working the case to develop suspect information. Due to their investigation, Mission BI. is closed between Cherry Way and Grove Way.
Our Crime Prevention and Crime Reduction Units have responded to this location numerous times in the past two years for disturbances that involved intoxicated patrons. Alameda County Code Enforcement and Board Zoning and Adjustments have cited the owner for safety violations and violations for tobacco and alcohol sales without proper permits and licensing.
