Alleged mall robber suffers broken pelvis, tailbone after leaping from second floor.
Video captured a botched and painful escape by an alleged shoplifter last week at the Willow Grove Mall.
Police say Abdi Wasuge tried to make his getaway after a robbery at the Apple store on April 13.
He tried to jump from the second floor of the mall, but he was unsuccessful and fell to the ground.

Robbery/Theft Arrest
On April 13, 2023, an adult male committed a retail theft from the Apple store located on the second level of the Willow Grove Park Mall. When encountered, he implied he had a gun and threatened to use it.
The male then proceeded to jump from the second level down to the first level in attempt to flee. As a result of the fall, the suspect was injured. Abington Police arrived on scene and called EMS. The male required hospitalization.
The male was released today from the hospital and was taken into custody by Abington Police. He is identified as Abdi Wasuge of 1906 E Del Rio Drive, Tempe, Arizona.
Investigation revealed Wasuge was never in possession of a firearm. He has been charged with robbery and related offenses and is currently awaiting arraignment.
