Rowlett Police Department Investigates Aggravated Robberies with Stolen Vehicles: Public
Assistance Requested

Rowlett, TX: On November 7, 2023, at approximately 8:55 PM, Rowlett Police officers
responded to an incident in the business parking lot situated in the 2500 block of Lakeview
Parkway.

Upon arrival, officers contacted the reporting party/victim. The victim, while loading groceries
into his truck, noticed a male approaching from the rear of his vehicle. Displaying a black pistol,
the suspect demanded the victim’s wallet, to which the victim handed the wallet to the suspect.

The suspect fled to the back of the parking lot and escaped in a stolen Black Hyundai Elantra,
later recovered.

Two days later, on November 9, 2023, at approximately 10:02 AM, Rowlett PD Officers
responded to another business parking lot in the same area for an ongoing aggravated robbery.

Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

The second victim reported a similar incident, with the suspect demanding his wallet while
putting away groceries. Upon the victim’s threat to call 9-1-1, the suspect fled to a stolen 2015
red Hyundai Sonata, identified by the Texas license plate SWH0384, reported stolen from
DeSoto, Texas.

These incidents suggest a potential connection between the two suspects, indicating a pattern of
stealing Hyundai vehicles. The suspects gain access by smashing the right rear window and
covering it with tape.

Additionally, the female depicted in the released pictures may be a witness to the incidents.
