The search is on for a gunman after an Oakland police officer was shot and killed early Friday while responding to a burglary in progress in the Jack London Square area.
Officer Tuan Le is the 54th Oakland police officer killed in the line of duty. His death comes ten years after 3 Oakland police sergeants and an officer were killed in a shootout with a fugitive parolee.
