INCIDENT SUMMARY:
Detectives are actively investigating a stabbing which occurred inside of the Grand Palms community.
At 6:07 a.m., dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call advising that an adult male subject attacked the victim with a knife, and that the subject was currently locked inside of the home’s garage. The subject and victim are married, and five children were inside of the residence at the time of the incident.
Police officers quickly responded to the location, secured the surrounding area, and retrieved the victim and children from inside of the home. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital by Pembroke Pines Fire-Rescue.
The subject remained barricaded inside of the home’s garage until SWAT members were able to safely make entry. The subject was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
This investigation remains active and on-going. There are no suspects at large, and there is no threat to the community.
