Alleged gunman Geronimo Kee caught after allegedly shooting officer during a traffic stop, Memphis police say.
The man accused of shooting a Memphis Police officer during a traffic stop on I-240 Friday morning is in custody, according to Memphis Police Department (MPD) Interim Police Chief CJ Davis. Davis said that a 22-year-old Geronimo Kee was taken into custody in North Memphis in the Austin Peay area.
The interim police chief said that Geronimo Kee shot a Memphis Police officer who pulled him over for speeding in a black Nissan around 4:20 a.m. on I-240 near the South Parkway exit.
