Four baby brothers, aged 2 to 5, were found safe nearly three weeks after disappearing in Palmdale, authorities reported Saturday.
The children were located at a family member’s home in California City and have been placed under the care of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale station.
Authorities explained that the children’s parents were arrested on unrelated charges. Before the boys went missing, their parents had missed a court date, prompting DCFS to search for the children.
The brothers were last seen around 2 p.m. on July 1 in the 800 block of East P-12, and investigators initially suspected they had been taken to Mojave, as per the Sheriff’s Department.
The siblings were identified as 4-year-old Kase Brown, 4-year-old Kai Brown, 2-year-old Kay’den Brown, and 5-year-old Koen Brown. Officials noted that Kase has Down syndrome.
