Los Angeles police are investigating the fifth burglary in two weeks targeting upscale homes in the San Fernando Valley. The latest break-in occurred Wednesday evening in the 5000 block of Rubio Avenue, just two blocks south of the 101 Freeway. A woman told police that she came home to find four masked men ransacking her home after breaking through a window.

Police are investigating whether the same burglary crew is responsible for a series of break-ins on the west side of the valley in recent weeks.

A home on Edgerton Avenue in Encino was targeted twice, on July 11 and 15. Residences on Winnetka Avenue and Del Moreno Drive in Woodland Hills were burglarized on July 12. Additionally, an Encino home belonging to rapper Blxst was hit on July 23.
