Police say that Corey Keith-Tibbs allegedly began to pull out a gun from under his shirt but fled when he saw the victim pull out his own gun.

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public’s assistance in locating Corey Keith-Tibbs, 37, who is currently wanted for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Monday, March 21, 2022 at around 5:15 pm, two males drove into a car dealership, located at the 7300 block of Gulf Freeway, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that one of the males, later identified as Corey Keith-Tibbs, walked up to him and asked if he could test drive a car. The complainant then walked into the office with the Suspect Keith-Tibbs following.

The complainant stated that as sat on his chair, he noticed the Suspect Keith-Tibbs pulling his shirt up and grabbing a gun. The complainant then grabbed his gun, which the suspect saw, and stated “No!” to the complainant. Suspect Keith-Tibbs then turned around, walked out of the office, and took off running. The second suspect, driving a four-door Mercedes, also fled from the parking lot.

A video of the robbery was shared by the Houston Police Robbery Division, which resulted in the development of the suspect, identified as Corey Keith-Tibs. A follow up investigation was conducted by a Robbery Detective, which lead to charges of aggravated robbery being filed through the Harris County on Feb. 10, 2023. As of August 8, 2024, the whereabouts if Corey Keith-Tibbs is still unknown.
