A video has gone viral showing a violent confrontation onboard an Alaska Airlines flight from Oakland, California to Portland, Oregon.
According to news reports, a male passenger allegedly experiencing a “mental health psychotic episode” began assaulting an unrelated female passenger.
The video appears to show a flight attendant punching a male passenger and pleading for able-bodied male passengers to help him stop the male passenger from assaulting the female passenger.
The disturbance caused the airplane to return to the Oakland gate where law enforcement escorted the male passenger off the plane.
Alaska Airlines says the male passenger has been banned from flying on their airlines in the future.
