Video shows a Memphis home invasion and the moments a masked gunman invades an apartment with a family gathering going on inside.
Shocking surveillance video obtained by FOX13 shows the moments a gunman took an apartment full of people hostage during a home invasion robbery.
Memphis Police said the home invasion happened just after midnight on Saturday. When a man walked outside to make a phone call, the gunman pushed him back inside, shoved him to the floor and pointed his gun at him and five other people inside the apartment.

MEMPHIS, TN – On June 15, 2024, at 12:38 a.m., officers responded to a home invasion robbery in the 3600 block of Durrand Drive. Officers were advised that a male suspect approached a resident outside on the phone. As the victim entered the residence, the suspect, armed with a handgun, pushed him inside, shoving him to the floor. The suspect pointed the weapon at five additional victims in the home, ordered them to the ground, and demanded money. The suspect used the handgun to strike a victim in the head. The suspect obtained several hundred in cash and fled the scene.
The suspect was a Black male wearing a hood and a t-shirt over a black long-sleeved hoodie.
No arrest has been made. This is an ongoing investigation. A photo of the suspect is attached.
