On Friday at about 1145 p.m., deputies responded to McNab Ave and Rosecrans Ave regarding an attempted break-in. The homeowner heard the suspect outside the residence attempting to force his way into the home through the front door. The homeowner was also alerted by the Ring security system, and she immediately called 911.

Deputies responded and located the suspect, a Norwalk resident, who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. When the suspect saw the deputies, he became confrontational, which resulted in the suspect being tased by the deputies.

The suspect was booked at Lakewood Station jail for attempted burglary, which is a felony.

The Ring video will definitely help the prosecution during court proceedings.

Lakewood deputies are working hard to keep our community safe 24/7.

Be safe everyone!
