Alleged Minnesota Shooter Vance Boelter Arrested by Police in Sibley County

Vance Boelter was the subject of a massive manhunt.

Police report that they have arrested alleged assassin Vance Boelter in connection with a deadly shooting that killed Minnesota House Democratic Leader Melissa Hortman and her husband at their home in Brooklyn Park. Boelter is also accused of allegedly shooting and seriously injuring State Senator John Hoffman and his wife at their residence in Champlin.

Vance Boelter has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree attempted murder for the attacks.

Earlier in the weekend, Governor Tim Walz described the incident as a likely targeted act of political violence.
