An amber alert came to an end early Thursday morning with the safe return of the two young sisters from Hanford, California, as their dad turned himself in.

UPDATE ON HOMICIDE & KIDNAPPING CASE

The KCSO Detective Unit, with the assistance of our State and Federal law enforcement partners, have located Alana and Arya Maldonado safe and have taken Jonathan Maldonado-Cruz into custody.

Sheriff Robinson will be holding a press conference this afternoon at 3:00pm to update the public on the investigation. Media outlets, please contact Sergeant Andrew Mazza, at (559) 530-4381, to obtain details of the location of the press conference.
