Antioch JCPenney Loose 1/2 Million Dollars in Jewelry Caught on Camera

Police say the suspect hid in the JCPenney store until after closing and then smashed jewelry cases with a sledgehammer.

Community, take a good look at these videos and help us find the man behind this jewelry smash and grab that happened at JCPenney.

We were just made aware of this theft that happened on June 15th. Antioch police officers responded to an alarm call just after 10:00 p.m. from the JCPenney on Slatten Ranch Road. Officers reviewed the store surveillance video which shows the suspect approaching the glass jewelry cases, taking a hammer or tool, smashing the glass and taking off with nearly half-a-million dollars in jewelry.

The suspect was also seen on video walking into the store at 8:25 p.m. and hiding in the store for a few hours before committing the crime.

Nos acaban de informar de este robo que ocurrió el 15 de junio. Los agentes de policía de Antioch respondieron a una llamada de alarma poco después de las 22:00 horas. desde JCPenney en Slatten Ranch Road. Los oficiales revisaron el video de vigilancia de la tienda que muestra al sospechoso acercándose a los joyeros de vidrio, tomando un martillo o herramienta, rompiendo el vidrio y llevándose casi medio millón de dólares en joyas.

El sospechoso también fue visto en video entrando a la tienda a las 8:25 p.m. y esconderse en la tienda durante unas horas antes de cometer el crimen.
