Vancouver Police Department Press Release Attempted Kidnapping at Lieser Crest Park
Today at approximately 3:40 p.m., an unidentified male attempted to abduct an 11-year-old child at Lieser Crest Park (7510 Virginia Lane, Vancouver WA.) A good samaritan intervened, the suspect released the child, and retreated into a newer dark SUV (possibly a Jeep), and fled the area, north on Fredericksburg Way. The male suspect is unknown to the child.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5’8” tall, about 140 pounds, in either their 20s or 30s, short brown hair, may have had a short beard, with face, hand and possibly stomach tattoos, wearing a black hoodie, black basketball shorts with red on the sides and dark shoes.
Patrol officers have conducted extensive canvassing of the surrounding areas and Missing Persons detectives are following up on the incident.
