ID NEEDED OF SUSPECT IN ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING OF 16-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN BELLEVUE.
Bellevue Police are asking for your help to identify this suspect in an attempted kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl in the Lake Hills neighborhood on Friday.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 30s. He was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket, black pants, and grey shoes or boots. The jacket looks green on the bus surveillance video but police say it’s black.
Shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday, Bellevue Police responded to the parking lot of the Lake Hills QFC store located near the intersection of 145th Place SE and SE 16th Street for a reported attempted kidnapping.
When officers arrived, they learned that the 16-year-old girl had been accosted by the suspect shortly after she got off a metro bus that the suspect had been riding on as well.
Police say the victim screamed for help and fought back, and a passerby was able to intervene and contact police.
The suspect fled the scene. Police used a K-9 to attempt to locate the man, however he was not located.
