Police are searching for a man responsible for a violent assault and robbery of a woman earlier this week in San Fernando, authorities confirmed to KTLA.
San Fernando authorities are on the hunt for an assailant involved in a violent assault and robbery targeting a woman earlier this week, as confirmed by KTLA.
The incident unfolded in broad daylight on April 15, just minutes before 3 p.m., in the 200 block of Park Avenue.
The victim, Juliana Murillo, had just purchased a bouquet of flowers for her mother’s birthday when the attacker approached from behind. He forcefully knocked her to the ground, causing her to drop everything she was holding, including the flowers.
“He pushed me really hard, and I hit my head on the door,” Murillo recounted to KTLA’s Carlos Saucedo. “My body just went into shock. I couldn’t process what was going on. I kept saying, ‘What are you doing, what are you doing?’ He used force to turn me over and he pulled out my purse and took off.”
Despite the impact to her head, Murillo resisted, engaging in a struggle with the assailant, who eventually fled with her purse containing car keys, credit cards, and identification.
The suspect made his escape in a dark-colored vehicle.
