According to the Oakland Police Department, an assault took place in a laundromat after someone’s belongings were allegedly stolen.
Officers from the Oakland Police Department responded to a report of battery in the 1800 block of Park Boulevard around 8 p.m. on March 16.
Upon arrival, officers engaged with the individual responsible for the battery. The individual claimed that their personal belongings were missing from the establishment and requested the victim to review surveillance footage. When the victim declined, the individual allegedly pushed the victim down.
The victim confirmed most of the individual’s account, except for the detail that two individuals were involved in the physical assault.
Medical assistance was provided to the victim for their injuries. The responsible individual was cited and subsequently released.
