Fresno Sheriff Deputies Arrest Johnny Hernandez for Alleged Robbery Caught on Camera

Deputies say that Johnny Hernandez allegedly matched the description of the robbery suspect and evidence was recovered tied to the robbery.

Property Crimes Detectives Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

Property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 38-year-old Johnny Hernandez of Fresno. He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on a variety of felony charges, which include robbery, assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon and probation violation.

Hernandez is currently under Post-Release Community Supervision, which is part of AB 109. This provision currently makes him ineligible for bail.

At 6:30 am on April 1st, an armed robbery took place at Adina Valley Market, located at 9010 S. Elm Ave., just south of Easton. The suspect pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded money and cigarettes. He then left the store with the stolen items and fled in a gray Toyota Camry.

Detectives and patrol deputies developed information about the car and later found it at a home on the 3600 block of E. Grant Ave. in Fresno. Detectives, with the assistance of the Adult Compliance Team (ACT), served a search warrant at the house and contacted Johnny Hernandez. He matched the description of the robbery suspect and evidence was recovered tied to the robbery. Along with the arrest of Hernandez, detectives arrested two women at the home on unrelated charges. One had a warrant for evading police and the other had a warrant for a probation violation.
