Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting at 1402 North 76th Street

APRIL 23, 2024

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a woman at 1402 North 76th Street about 9:05 p.m. on Saturday (April 20).

The suspect, Guadalupe M. Rodriguez, 53, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm in the 487th State District Court. A March booking photo of Rodriguez, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.

The female victim, 39 was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Sergeant V. Garcia and Detective A. Garcia reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a bar at the above address and found a woman with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported her to the hospital. The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival.

Further investigation identified Rodriguez as the suspect in this case. He was last seen in a white, GMC Terrain SUV with Texas license plates TKK0506.
