The Memphis Police Department asks for the public’s help identifying attempted carjacking suspects. Police say the suspects accosted the victims at 2133 Lamar Avenue.

Memphis, TN – On December 28, 2023, at 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a carjacking at 2133 Lamar Avenue. Officers were advised that the victim was coming out of the store when two male suspects approached him with a gun pointed at him, demanding his keys.
The victim fought back, but the male who had the gun fired one shot at the victim before he was able to gain control of the weapon. The victim fought the two males outside and inside the store.
After fighting both males, one of them took the gun back from him, left the scene, and wasn’t able to get the victim’s vehicle.
The suspects were described as:
Suspect#1: Black male, 5’6″, 120lbs, black jacket with a colorful image on the front and back, blue jeans, and black
and white shoes.
Suspect#2: Black male, 5’7″, 120lbs, black jacket, black shirt, black jeans, and red and white Jordan shoes.
Suspect#3: Black female, 5’5″, 110lbs, colorful headband, blue Memphis Tigers shirt, shorts, and purple socks.
Suspect#4: Black female, 5’5″, 110lbs, purple long-sleeve shirt, black and white tights, and blue and black shoes.
All individuals appear to be 18 years of age.
The suspect’s vehicle, a 2007 Nissan Maxima, which was carjacked in 2312030197ME, has been recovered.
No arrest has been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
