Las Vegas Murder Suspect Erick Rangel-Ibarra Captured in Queretaro, Mexico

Las Vegas police say that Erick Rangel-Ibarra is wanted for the alleged murder of Lesly Palacio in 2020.

Almost four years after her death, the man accused of killing Lesly Palacio is now in custody in Queretaro, Mexico, according to authorities in Mexico.

Erick Rangel-Ibarra was arrested in Mexico, a source revealed. Rangel-Ibarra, now in his late 20s, is the sole suspect in Palacio’s murder in August 2020.

Las Vegas Metro police suspect Palacio, 22, died on August 29, 2020. Her remains were discovered two weeks later near the Valley of Fire.

In 2021, Jose Rangel, Erick Rangel-Ibarra’s father, pleaded guilty to helping his son move Palacio’s body from their family home.

Jose Rangel was sentenced to two years in prison, but he was released after serving less than nine months in prison.

Casi cuatro años después de su muerte, el hombre acusado de matar a Lesly Palacio ahora está detenido en México, confirmaron los investigadores de 8 News Now.

Erick Rangel-Ibarra fue arrestado en México, reveló una fuente. Rangel-Ibarra, que ahora tiene poco más de 20 años, es el único sospechoso del asesinato de Palacio en agosto de 2020.

La policía metropolitana de Las Vegas sospecha que Palacio, de 22 años, murió el 29 de agosto de 2020. Sus restos fueron descubiertos dos semanas después cerca del Valle del Fuego.

En 2021, José Rangel, padre de Erick Rangel-Ibarra, se declaró culpable de ayudar a su hijo a trasladar el cuerpo de Palacio de su casa familiar.
