Man Steals Police Car in Colorado. Stolen Colorado State Patrol Vehicle Ends in Fatal Crash.
On June 20, 2023, Colorado State Patrol responded to a fleeing suspect along Highway 50, in Otero County in an assist with Otero County Deputies. Troopers stopped the vehicle and detained the suspect in a marked Colorado State Patrol vehicle.
The suspect stole the patrol vehicle and a pursuit occurred. The patrol vehicle with the suspect driving was incapacitated by use of stop sticks and crashed into a semi-truck.
The suspect was alive after the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital and later died from the injuries. This video has been edited by the Colorado State Patrol for time and clarifying details.
