A suspect from the shooting at a CHP Officer on Southland Way is in custody!

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau Detectives tracked the suspect, 41-year-old Manuel Martinez, into Yuba County, then was ultimately taken into custody in a vehicle stop in Coalinga.

A special thank you to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office for all of their assistance. Martinez will be booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for attempted murder shortly.
