Our department is hurting, and our community is mourning the loss of a dedicated officer who served with honor, integrity, and unwavering commitment to protecting the people of Marysville. Officer Rodarte was more than a colleague; he was a friend, a father, an army veteran, and a true hero.

Currently, we ask for continuous prayers for the officer’s family, friends, and the law enforcement community as we navigate this immense loss. We appreciate the support of our community and stand together in remembrance.

Further details will be released as they become available. In the coming days, we will share information regarding any memorial services and ways the community can honor Officer Rodarte’s legacy.

Tomorrow at approximately 0930hrs there will be a procession from the Lakeside Chapel at 830 D St, Marysville to Placer County. To honor Officer Rodarte, we invite the community to come together and line the sidewalks, offering your support and paying your respect as Officer Rodarte is taken to Placer County. Your presence will be a powerful testament to the impact Officer Rodarte had on all of us, and the strength of the community he served so selflessly.
