Memorial Day Mass Shooting on Coral Gables Court Sacramento

Coral Gables Court is in Sacramento's Meadowview neighborhood.

Five people, including a teenager, were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds after a shooting outside a large apartment complex in Sacramento’s Meadowview neighborhood on Monday night, police said.

The Memorial Day shooting was reported around 8 p.m. in the 70th block of Coral Gables Court near Meadowview Road in south Sacramento.

Three men, a woman and one female teenager were shot, according to police spokesperson Officer Cody Tapley. All five people are expected to survive.

There was no suspect information to share late Monday night, Tapley said. He added that police believe the shooter fled the scene.

He said the victims were all in close proximity to each other.

Tapley urged anyone with information on the shooting to contact police.
