Mexico Breaks Relations with Ecuador After Police Raid Embassy to Arrest Fugitive

18 Latin-American countries along with 10 European countries joined Mexico in condemning the violation of the Mexican embassy by Ecuador.

Ecuadorian police entered the Mexican embassy to arrest former vice president Jorge Glas, who was sheltered in the Mexican embassy in Quito, as confirmed by the Government of Daniel Noboa in a statement.

Given this act, the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, broke diplomatic relations with Ecuador.
