According to the Baltimore Police Department, the victim, Lawrence Lewis, reported that five suspects were involved in the attack.
Baltimore police officers were able to locate and arrest two of them: 18-year-old Montaz Bailey and a 15-year-old male whose identity has not been released.
The 15-year-old was taken to the Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center for a detention review but was ultimately released to a guardian the same day.
Police say that Bailey allegedly was in possession of a gun and the 15-year-old suspect was allegedly in possession of the victim’s keys.
According to police, both Bailey and the 15-year-old have prior arrests. After reviewing the video footage and evidence, Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan Bates authorized an attempted first-degree murder charge against Bailey.
