Napa Sheriff’s Deputies Say 1 Shot and Killed, Multiple People Hurt Near Lake Berryessa

The Napa County Sheriff’s Office says it all happened around 5:30 p.m. at the Oak Shores Day Use Area in the 5500 block of Knoxville Road.

A violent incident near Lake Berryessa in Napa County on Saturday evening resulted in one man’s death and multiple injuries from stabbing and shooting.

According to Napa County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Henry Wofford, the altercation occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the Oak Shores Day Use Area, located in the 5500 block of Knoxville Road. The cause of the fight is still under investigation.

During the incident, a man was shot and killed. Two other individuals sustained stab wounds and were airlifted to hospitals; their conditions are currently unknown.

Several other victims were transported to hospitals either by ambulance or by driving themselves, but the extent of their injuries remains unclear. Officials have not yet determined the total number of victims or how they were injured.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Further details are not available at this time.
