Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police reports that off-duty Prince George’s County Officer Sierra Alston was arrested by airport police officers.
A suspended Prince George’s County Police officer left the Arlington District Court after a brief appearance for her arraignment.
A Prince George’s County police officer was arrested and charged on Thursday, according to the department.
Officer Sierra Alston, who has been with the department since 2023 and is assigned to the Bureau of Patrol, was charged by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police with unauthorized use of a vehicle and related offenses. Following the arrest, officials confirmed that she was suspended without pay.
In March, the Prince George’s County Police Department had celebrated Alston’s graduation from the police academy in a social media post honoring Women’s History Month. However, on Monday, the department disclosed that she had been arrested the previous week and is now facing felony charges related to the unauthorized use of three rental cars stolen from Reagan National Airport.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by 7News, the SIXT rental car company recovered three stolen 2024 BMWs from their lot between February and April. Evidence found during the investigation included a Prince George’s County Police Department jacket inside one of the vehicles and Alston’s Instagram account linked to the entertainment system of another. Additionally, Alston was allegedly recorded driving the third car while interacting with a D.C. police officer. Investigators also reported that her cell phone was tracked near the airport on three separate occasions when the vehicles were taken, with the last occurrence just five days after her graduation.
7News has reached out to the police department for further comment, but no responses have been provided so far.

Well, suspended officer Sierra Alston is considered innocent until there’s a court decision rendered at her trial. But that doesn’t mean we can’t consider her a jerk for all the alleged things that led to her being a suspect and arrested. Jerk? 1) Alston’s Instagram account was linked to the entertainment system evidence in one of the stolen cars. 2) Alston was allegedly recorded driving the third car while interacting with a D.C. police officer. 3) Investigators reported that her cell phone was tracked near the airport on three separate occasions when the vehicles were taken, with the last occurrence just five days after her graduation. We have to wonder what she learned in the law enforcement academy. Will any heads roll?
