CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Shots fired after gas station robbery at the Memphis Shelby Center.
Video surveillance captured a driver getting robbed at the Shelby Center Chevron gas station in Southwest Memphis on Sunday night.

MEMPHIS, TN – On July 7, 2024, at 9:33 p.m., officers responded to an attempted carjacking at 5925 East Shelby Drive at the BP Gas Station. Officers were advised the victim was returning to his parked vehicle when an armed male exited a silver Chevy Impala and approached him while pointing a small assault rifle at him. The armed suspect demanded the victim’s property. The victim pulled his weapon, and both the victim and the suspect fired shots. The suspect got back into the Impala and fled with two additional suspects who were in the vehicle.
No arrests have been made. This is an ongoing investigation. The video is attached.
