San Francisco police have released body-worn camera footage and new details regarding a police shooting earlier this month, in which officers opened fire on a man later identified as Justin Matthew Alderman carrying a gun through the city.
The suspect, armed with a gun, was pursued near Market Street before fleeing into the Powell Street BART station. This chase culminated in an officer-involved shooting, resulting in the suspect sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
