UPDATE: 10/10 11:05 AM

Seth South was taken into custody by Deputies from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department last night and is being held in the Kitsap County Jail awaiting a scheduled appearance in court this afternoon.

The 23-year-old South was booked on suspicion of two counts of Second-Degree Murder and Assault in the Third degree. Criminal charges will be determined by the Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The assault charge is the result of South attacking a Kitsap County Sheriff’s Detective as he was being transferred from Pierce County custody to be transported to Kitsap County. The detective suffered minor injuries.

We will have more information as it becomes available.

UPDATE 8:44 PM

Wanted homicide suspect Seth South is in custody. He was arrested this evening in King County. South was arrested without incident. The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office is working with our partner agencies to bring him to Kitsap County where he will be booked on a First-Degree Murder Warrant.

South is wanted in connection with the deaths of two teenage males. Both the suspect and the victims are related. Detectives are working to confirm the nature of that relationship.

Detectives and Deputies will continue working at the crime scene in the 16000 block of Scandia Rd. NW through the night. Scandia remains closed at this time. Please avoid the area if possible.

UPDATE AT: 6:33 PM

A warrant for First Degree Felony Murder has been issued for
23-year-old Seth K. South in connection with an ongoing homicide investigation in the 16000 block of Scandia Rd. NW near Poulsbo.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call at a home in the area around 3:00 PM today, October 9th.

They located two young adult victims deceased by homicidal means. Detectives arrived on scene and found evidence resulting in the warrant for South’s arrest.

South was last seen driving a black 2018 Tacoma four door truck with Washington license D03530F and may have driven to either Pierce or Thurston counties.

He is believed to be armed and should be considered dangerous. Anyone who sees South or has information should call 911 immediately. Do not approach the suspect.

Scandia RD NW remains closed around the scene. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Scandia is closed in the area of the 16000 block and is expected to be closed for several hours.

Motorists can use Viking Way as an alternative route.
