Sex offender George Michael Tomlin allegedly trespasses onto Livermore high school campus.
Livermore Police Department Press Release Re: George Michael Tomlin Arrest
On Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, just after Noon, Livermore Police responded to a report of an adult trespassing near the football field on the Granada High School (400 Wall Street) campus.
A Livermore Police School Resource Officer, assigned to Granada High School, responded to the area at which time the suspect ran off campus.
Other Livermore Police officers located the man who has now been identified as 39-year-old George Michael Tomlin of Livermore in the creek area behind the campus. A records check revealed he is a registered sex offender.
A preliminary investigation suggests Tomlin committed a lewd act on school grounds. He is also suspected of inappropriately exposing himself to a female student on campus. At this time, police do not believe that the suspect had any physical contact with students. Police also located drugs and drug paraphernalia on him.
Tomlin was arrested without incident and taken to Santa Rita Jail. He is facing several charges including unlawful entry onto school grounds by a registered sex offender, indecent exposure and drug possession.
