Broward County Sheriff’s Office Press Release Re: Disturbing Egyptian Geese Killings

Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit are seeking information about the cruel, disturbing killing of 30 Egyptian Geese. Investigators are releasing video in hopes of identifying the vehicle and individuals involved. Broward Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the subject(s).
The animal cruelty incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, near Southwest 49th Street and Southwest 120th Avenue in Cooper City. According to a witness, the animals were run over by an off-road style vehicle similar to the one pictured above. The witness also stated the vehicle was occupied by about four to five young adults.
Detectives say the vicious attack took place in the lake easement area between the Flamingo Gardens West subdivision and the Countryside Shops Plaza in Cooper City. The vehicle was last seen turning into the Flamingo Townhomes subdivision.
Through investigative means, detectives were able to locate video of the subjects. The individuals can be seen driving through the subdivision.
