Suspects Wanted for Looting Nike Delivery Truck in Memphis Caught on Camera

While a truck driver was waiting at a red light in front of a Nike logistics center in Memphis, thieves unloaded boxes from the back of the 18-wheeler.

Memphis Police are currently seeking three individuals who brazenly robbed a truck filled with Nike products during daylight hours on Monday evening.

According to investigators, the robbery occurred just a short distance from the Nike logistics center on New Frayser Boulevard. Eyewitness Charles Moore recounted the shocking scene, describing how he had stopped behind a large truck at a traffic light on New Allen Road. As he approached, he observed several men had forcefully opened the truck’s rear doors and were hastily loading merchandise into a pickup truck.

“It was the craziest thing I’d ever seen,” Moore remarked, noting he had just dropped off a Lyft passenger nearby when he stumbled upon the crime. He took out his phone and managed to capture images of the perpetrators in the act.

“The truck’s door was wide open, and these guys were running back and forth, grabbing items from inside the 18-wheeler,” Moore recalled. “The driver of the truck had no idea. He was focused on the traffic light, completely unaware.”

Photographs from Moore’s phone reveal three men stacking boxes in their arms and transferring them into a gray Ford F-150. Two of the individuals wore masks, while the third did not.

As the light turned green, the truck driver proceeded into the Nike facility without knowledge of the theft.

“I followed him to his parking spot so I could inform him, ‘Hey man, you’ve been robbed,'” Moore said.

While this incident left Moore stunned, he emphasized it was not an isolated event. He referenced other instances reported by FOX13 where thieves targeted logistics operations across the Mid-South, including robbing a train car carrying Nike goods in August and raiding multiple delivery trucks in a single day following the holidays.

“I have no respect for those people,” Moore asserted. “I wake up at 5:00 in the morning and earn my money.”

Moore recounted how the grateful truck driver thanked him for alerting him to the robbery, acknowledging that Moore had potentially saved his job. Additionally, Moore received a thank-you call from the president of the trucking company that employed the driver.

He urged others who witness crimes to take action responsibly.

“Everyone has a camera nowadays. It’s simple. Take a picture or video and send it anonymously,” Moore advised. “You don’t even have to give your name. Just do the right thing.”

Police estimates suggest the thieves made off with approximately $2,500 worth of merchandise.

Las fotografías del teléfono de Moore muestran a tres hombres apilando cajas en sus brazos y transfiriéndolas a una Ford F-150 gris. Dos de los individuos llevaban máscaras, mientras que el tercero no.

Cuando el semáforo se puso verde, el conductor del camión entró en las instalaciones de Nike sin tener conocimiento del robo.

“Lo seguí hasta su lugar de estacionamiento para poder informarle: ‘Oye, te han robado'”, dijo Moore.

Si bien este incidente dejó atónito a Moore, enfatizó que no fue un hecho aislado. Hizo referencia a otros casos reportados por FOX13 donde los ladrones atacaron operaciones logísticas en todo el Medio Sur, incluido el robo de un vagón de tren que transportaba productos Nike en agosto y el asalto a varios camiones de reparto en un solo día después de las vacaciones.

“No tengo ningún respeto por esa gente”, afirmó Moore. “Me levanto a las 5 de la mañana y gano mi dinero”.

Moore contó cómo el agradecido camionero le agradeció por alertarlo sobre el robo, reconociendo que Moore potencialmente había salvado su trabajo. Además, Moore recibió una llamada de agradecimiento del presidente de la empresa de transporte que contrató al conductor.

Instó a otros que sean testigos de crímenes a actuar de manera responsable.

“Hoy en día todo el mundo tiene una cámara. Es sencillo. Tome una foto o un vídeo y envíelo de forma anónima”, aconsejó Moore. “Ni siquiera tienes que dar tu nombre. Simplemente haz lo correcto”.

Las estimaciones de la policía sugieren que los ladrones se llevaron mercancías por valor de aproximadamente 2.500 dólares.
