Tiburon Police Department Press Release Re: Tiburon ATM Robbery

ROBBERY WITH A FIREARM — On Friday, November 10, 2023 at 3:17 pm a man was robbed at gun point in the area of Janet Way and Andrew Drive in Tiburon, CA. This happened after the man had followed home from a Bank of America ATM in Strawberry where he had earlier withdrawn money.

Once the man returned home, the suspect, who had been following him, demanded cash from the man and fired one gunshot. The man gave the suspect $500 in cash and suspect got into a waiting car which was being driven by a second male suspect.

The victim was transported to a hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A countywide BOL (be on the lookout) was broadcasted, and the suspect vehicle was later located by Richmond Police Department. Two suspects have been detained and are currently being interviewed by Tiburon Police investigators.

This case is still developing and there is no threat to public safety.
